Brewers are honored for their hard work and dedication to craft, and thousands of happy festival-goers - who were able to taste the prize - are then honored at one of the world's biggest beer festivals. This list would be completely incomplete without some obvious decisions, but it is truly the largest beer festival of its kind in North America. The Great American Beer Festival is a three-day annual event organized by the Brewers Association of Denver, Colorado. The flyover took place in September at the Denver Colorado Convention Center and was home to a whopping 800 breweries serving more than 3,800 beers. The Great American Beer Festival allows 160 beer styles and sub-categories to be exhibited and aims to bring beer lovers closer to independent and small craft brewers. Collaboration is the order of the day at Juicy Brews, and while the event is open to all participating breweries, most of them brew beer in their beer dispensaries. The hop culture has become a largely monthly beer festival, with the exception of some special events such as the Great American Beer Festival and the New England Beer Fest.
The Portland Craft Beer Festival takes place on the Fourth of July weekend at Fields Park. Founded in 1988, the Oregon Brewers Festival will this year showcase Oregon craft beer and cider for the first time since its inception in 1990. Portland is not shy about its love of beer, and there are a number of events to quench your thirst, from the Portland Beer Festival to the Oregon Brewers Festival. Sip beside the water feature in Rose Park. The fountains of Portland are not to be missed. The City of Roses is famous for her public fountains. The city has as much love for craft beer and cider as it does for wine, but there are also events to quench my thirst in the form of the annual Portland Craft Beer Festival. Portland has an extensive list of events that have quenched myth-busting, such as the annual Oregon Craft Beer Festival and the July 4 Beer Festival. Oregon: Craft Brew Heaven
The Oregon Brewers Festival also features a root beer garden, which features a designated driver. Nashville's Oktoberfest will run for three days, October 5-7, at the Nashville Convention Center. The two-part event begins with a DIY competition, and the festival features a beer garden, food trucks and a place for children to play. Perfect for Portland, Baker's Dozen Festival features a variety of beers from Portland breweries as well as local craft breweries. LGBTQ charity Human Rights Campaign, which benefits the National Center for Lesbian Rights, a national LGBTQ advocacy organization. The biggest festival in the Pacific Northwest, dedicated to funky and tart beers, has been held since 2013. The Pulle sip was held at picturesque Rossi Farms in northeastern Portland, but in 2019 the festival, which saw dozens of breweries serve more than 50 beers, will be moved to Glendoveer Golf Course in northeastern Portland. The 11-day Portland Beer Week is packed with seven days that may not include all Portland beers, but highlights include a celebration of rye beer revival, with a variety of beers supported by local craft brewers, local food trucks and local artisans. Two of our favorite Portland beverages combine to create 16 unique brews made by locals from locally roasted coffee. On Saturday, May 26, Zwickelmania, hosted by the Oregon Brewers Guild over the weekend of President's Day, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to midnight, with doors opening at 10: 30 a.m. and free tastings and food pairs offered to visitors.
